Biden Rebukes Rep. Boebert During Colorado Infrastructure Visit
-
President Biden criticized Rep. Lauren Boebert, who represents the district he was speaking in, for voting against the infrastructure law that helped fund jobs at the wind turbine company he was visiting.
-
Biden made the sign of the cross after first mentioning Boebert's name, eliciting laughs from the audience. He then attacked her voting record.
-
The attacks come less than a year before the 2024 election. Boebert narrowly defeated Democrat Adam Frisch in 2022 and Frisch is running again.
-
Frisch did not appear with Biden. Boebert criticized him for not attending with Biden due to the president's poor poll numbers.
-
Biden referred to Boebert as a leader of the "extreme MAGA movement" and countered her calling the infrastructure law a "massive failure."
