African Leaders Gather for Namibian President Geingob's Funeral
• Presidents Ruto and Suluhu attended the funeral of Namibian President Hage Geingob along with delegations from 27 countries.
• Geingob died of cancer at age 82. He had been president of Namibia since 2015.
• Geingob was a key figure in Namibia's independence from South Africa in 1990. He served as the country's first prime minister.
• The funeral service was held at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek. Geingob will be buried at the Heroes' Acre on Sunday.
• Finnish President Sauli Niinistö and Nigeria’s Senate President Godswill Akpabio also attended the funeral.
