India Sees Progress in Development and Gender Equality, But Gaps Persist
- India's life expectancy increased to 67.7 years in 2022, gross national income (GNI) per capita rose to $6,951
- India ranked 108 out of 193 countries on the 2022 Gender Inequality Index, up from 122 out of 191 countries in 2021
