Disney Executives Vie to Succeed Iger as CEO Before 2026 Departure

Four Disney executives are considered top contenders to succeed Bob Iger as CEO Dana Walden, Josh D'Amaro, Alan Bergman, and Jimmy Pitaro.

The candidates are spending time with Iger to learn how he does the job and gain exposure to new Disney areas.

Disney may appoint a COO or President before Iger's tenure ends to ease the transition.

Iger extended his CEO contract through December 2026 after originally planning to step down at the end of 2024.

Media execs previously listed Dana Walden as one of two likely candidates for the CEO role after Iger.
