Biden, Harris, Former First Ladies Honor Humanitarian Rosalynn Carter at Tribute Service

Rosalynn Carter, former first lady and humanitarian, was honored at a tribute service attended by President Biden, VP Harris, Jill Biden, and all living former first ladies.

Her husband former President Jimmy Carter, now 99, was by her side when she died on Nov. 19 at age 96. He attended the service in a wheelchair.

Their son Chip Carter shared memories, saying "She saved my life" and that she was the most beautiful woman he'd met.

Speakers praised her courage, compassion, advocacy for mental health, and how she promoted a caring society.

There will be a funeral procession and service in Plains, Georgia on Wednesday with interment at the Carter family residence.
