DUP divided over return to NI power-sharing deal as some see trade barriers remaining
• Some senior DUP figures do not agree with the party's decision to return to power-sharing, believing the NI/GB trade barrier has not been fully dealt with • DUP deputy leader Emma Little-Pengelly defended the decision, saying it was based on a "good and fair deal" negotiated by Jeffrey Donaldson • Little-Pengelly said Donaldson achieved "unfettered, internal UK trade" and removed barriers, which was a key issue • TUV leader Jim Allister criticized the deal, saying it has not restored NI's place in the UK single market or control over the laws governing NI • Allister said hundreds of EU laws still fully apply in NI under the deal, even for goods not traded with the EU
