FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried to Testify in Fraud Trial After Associates Allege He Lied

Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of failed crypto exchange FTX, plans to testify at his criminal fraud trial in Manhattan.

His lawyer confirmed Bankman-Fried's plans to testify on Wednesday at a hearing before the judge overseeing the case.

Prosecutors have called several of Bankman-Fried's associates who testified he lied to customers, investors and lenders.

Bankman-Fried is expected to testify Thursday after prosecutors call their final witness in the morning.

If convicted, Bankman-Fried faces up to life in prison on fraud, conspiracy and money laundering charges.
