Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Review: Flagship Experience at a Discount

The Galaxy S23 FE offers flagship build quality and performance at a $200 discount from the standard S23. Some compromises like an older processor and thicker bezels exist.

The phone has a 6.4" OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, triple rear cameras, and large 4,500mAh battery with fast charging.

Performance is excellent despite using last year's processor, though gaming can cause some warming. Battery life is solid at over 10 hours in our test.

The camera setup takes nice, saturated photos and video. However, it lacks the powerful AI editing tools of the Pixel 8.

Software experience is great with Android 13 and Samsung's One UI additions like Edge Panels and Dex desktop mode. You get 4 OS updates and 5 years of security patches.
