Biden adviser resigns over Israel-Palestine policies, accuses administration of turning blind eye
-
A senior Biden education adviser, Tariq Habash, resigned over the administration's handling of the Israel-Hamas war and accused Israel of ethnic cleansing against Palestinians.
-
Habash said in his resignation letter that the U.S. is turning a "blind eye to the atrocities committed against innocent Palestinian lives."
-
This is the second Biden administration resignation related to policy on the Israel-Hamas conflict. Another official resigned in October over arms transfers to Israel.
-
Over 500 Biden officials signed an anonymous letter last month urging Biden to call for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
-
On Wednesday, 17 current Biden campaign staffers anonymously called on Biden to push for a permanent ceasefire in the conflict.
