Sen. Scott Asks 'Border Czar' Harris to Preside Over Long-Shot Mayorkas Impeachment Trial

The House approved 2 impeachment articles against Mayorkas for failing to enforce immigration laws and lying to Congress.
The Senate vote is expected to fail, but Scott said Harris should have interest in the trial due to her role overseeing the border.
Mayorkas was impeached by the House, only the 2nd Cabinet member in history after Belknap in 1867.
The articles accuse Mayorkas of "catch and release" policies violating immigration law amid record border crossings.
