Blackburn Pushes Biden to Give Unfrozen Iranian Assets to Israel Over Iran

Senator Marsha Blackburn wants the $6 billion in Iranian assets unfrozen by the Biden administration to be given to Israel for damages from Hamas instead.

Blackburn and other senators sent a letter calling for the funds to be refrozen and not given to Iran. Legislation is underway to block Iran's access.

The Biden administration claims none of the $6 billion has been accessed by Iran yet, but will not formally pause the funds.

Blackburn believes the funds should be redirected to Israel given Iran's involvement in coaching and funding Hamas.

Blackburn criticizes Jake Sullivan's past foreign policy advice to Biden as wrong, including on Afghanistan and not enforcing Iran sanctions.
