EU inches up on 2030 renewables-in-transport goal but most countries lagging
- Share of renewables in EU transport was 9.6% in 2022, up 0.5 pp from 2021 but below 2020's 10.3% peak
- 2030 target is 29% renewables share in transport per EU directive
- Sweden leads with 29.2% renewables share already, Finland next highest at 18.8%
- Lowest shares in Croatia (2.4%), Latvia (3.1%), Greece (4.1%)
- Biggest increases from 2021-2022 in Germany, Netherlands, Hungary; decreases in Croatia, Latvia, Slovenia
