Manthey Developing High-Downforce, Track-Focused Upgrade Kit for New Porsche 911 GT3 RS
-
Manthey-Racing is developing an upgrade kit for the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS. A spy video shows a test car attacking the Nurburgring.
-
The Manthey-tuned 911 GT3 RS looks similar to the standard model. Previous kits focused on aero and chassis improvements.
-
The stock 911 GT3 RS already produces high downforce. Manthey's kit for the regular GT3 added coilover suspension and shaved seconds off the Nurburgring lap time.
-
The new kit will likely have a bigger splitter, upgraded diffuser, new wing, and more based on past RS kits.
-
The upgrades will be expensive, possibly tens of thousands added to the GT3 RS's $225,250 base price. But it should make an already capable car even quicker.
