Starknet Plans Parallel Execution Upgrade in 2024 to Boost Speed and Scale, Trails Top Layer 2s in Adoption

Starknet plans to add "parallelization" in Q2 2024 to allow for faster transaction processing, improving throughput and finality speed.

The parallel execution will address a bottleneck and allow transactions to flow faster, likened to a subway station adding more entrances.

Starknet is currently the largest ZK rollup layer 2 network on Ethereum, with $1.4B total value locked.

Additional 2024 efforts will include projects to reduce fees for users.

Starknet trails leaders like Arbitrum One and OP Mainnet in TVL among all layer 2 networks.
