Over Two-Thirds of Newly-Elected Telangana MLAs Face Criminal Cases; Congress and BJP Top List

80 out of 119 newly-elected MLAs in Telangana have criminal cases against them, an increase from 65 in the previous Assembly.

50 out of 64 Congress MLAs (78%) have criminal cases. 19 out of 39 BRS MLAs (48%) and 7 out of 8 BJP MLAs (87%) also have cases.

Congress candidate Revanth Reddy has the most cases at 89. BJP's Raja Singh with 89 cases and Congress's Vedma Bhojju with 52 cases also elected.

Outgoing CM KCR has 9 cases against him. BRS working president KTR has 8 cases. MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi has 6 cases.
