Texas Launches Investigation Into Boeing Supplier Over Potential 737 Max Safety Issues

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is investigating Boeing parts supplier Spirit AeroSystems over potential safety issues with 737 Max planes.

Paxton is requesting documents from Spirit, including information about manufacturing defects and its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies.

Paxton alleges Spirit's DEI commitments may be compromising manufacturing processes and product quality.

The investigation comes after an incident where a door plug blew out of a 737 Max plane shortly after takeoff.

Boeing is in talks to reacquire Spirit AeroSystems to improve plane quality and safety.
