2024 Ford Ranger Gets Truckier Looks, Clever Bed Features, and More Power

The 2024 Ford Ranger has a more upright, "trucky" design compared to the previous generation Ranger. It looks much more American.

The Ranger bed is wider between the wheel wells (48.2 inches) so 4x8 sheets of plywood can fit. It also has many clever, useful features like bed lighting and power outlets.

The Ranger is very quiet and comfortable inside. It offers modern tech features and decent passenger space. But the steering feels oddly heavy and numb.

Two engine options a 270 hp turbo 2.3L 4-cylinder and a 315 hp twin-turbo 2.7L V6 coming this summer. Payload capacity has increased to over 1,800 lbs.

Trim levels are XL, XLT and Lariat. Pricing starts at $34,265. The 2024 model brings useful updates but isn't radically different from the outgoing Ranger.
