Americans Seek Financial Freedom, But Debt and Unpaid Work Stand in the Way

Americans believe their time is worth $134 per day when factoring in unpaid work like cleaning, cooking, and driving.

The average American's salary is $65,000 per year, while they believe they'd need $103,000 to feel financially free.

Over half of Americans (54%) define financial freedom as having no debt. However, 75% currently have some form of debt.

Americans think about their debt 4 times per day on average and believe it will take 6 years to pay it off.

By 2024, Americans plan to pay off debts, save money each month, and cut back on non-essential spending to gain more financial freedom.
