Mario Makers Triumph Over Once Impossible Level Just Before Server Shutdown
-
Super Mario Maker players finally beat the fan-made "Trimming the Herbs" level which was thought impossible for humans to complete. This happened just 2 days before Nintendo kills the 3DS and Wii U servers.
-
"Trimming the Herbs" is a 17 second long level that requires crushingly precise reflexes. The creator didn't actually beat their own stage. After 280K attempts, players realized this.
-
Player sanyx91smm2 still managed to complete "Trimming the Herbs" after 13 seconds in an incredible reflex flex. The player gasped in disbelief for a minute afterwards.
-
Group "Team 0%" declared "Super Mario Maker is complete" and will move onto beating the Switch sequel now that every single stage has been beaten.
-
This rush to complete levels is caused by Nintendo shutting down 3DS and Wii U servers on April 8th, which means online functionality will be lost permanently for games like Mario Kart 7 and Pokemon X/Y.
