Space Force Plans Satellite Wargame to Test Rapid Threat Response

The US Space Force is planning a military exercise called Victus Haze that will involve two satellites performing maneuvers to simulate a threat response scenario.

Rocket Lab will launch a satellite to inspect another satellite launched by True Anomaly, posing as an adversary spacecraft. The goal is to demonstrate space domain awareness capabilities.

The exercise aims to validate the Space Force's ability to rapidly launch and maneuver satellites on operationally relevant timelines measured in weeks, days or even hours.

This builds on a previous demonstration, Victus Nox, that showed a satellite could be built, tested and launched in under 60 hours after receiving orders.

The mission involves multiple contractors, satellites, and launches timed to realistically simulate responding to aggression against US satellites by near-peer adversaries like China and Russia.
