UK House Prices Defy Predictions with Continued Growth in Early 2023
- Property prices rose in 2023 for around 1 in 10 UK homes, with an average increase of £7,800
- The North West had several areas with a high concentration of 5%+ price rises, including Rossendale, Blackburn and Bolton
- Parts of southern England saw price drops, like Dover, Hastings and Canterbury
- Zoopla data shows most homes saw values stay the same or rise slightly despite forecasts of falls
- The Halifax Index also recorded UK house price increases for the 4th straight month
