Austin's Millionaire Population More Than Doubles in Decade, Fastest Growth in US

The number of millionaires living in Austin more than doubled over the past decade to about 32,700, the fastest growth rate in the US.

Greenwich and Darien, Connecticut saw an 84% increase in millionaires to around 12,500, likely due to the area's concentration of hedge funds and financial services.

Millionaires in Palm Beach and West Palm Beach, Florida grew 93% to 10,200, accelerated by remote work trends during the pandemic.

Scottsdale, Arizona attracted wealthy retirees and tech entrepreneurs from California, doubling its millionaire population.

While NYC has the most millionaires, its growth lagged behind at just 48% over the decade compared to over 100% in Austin.
