Urban Honolulu, Hawaii has seen the highest inflation in the U.S., with prices up 4.8% over the past year.

The Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach area in Florida has the second highest inflation at 4.9% over the past year.

Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario in Southern California had the third-highest price hikes at 4.3% over the past year.

The St. Louis metro area on the Missouri/Illinois border saw prices climb 3.6% over the past year.

Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington in Texas rounds out the top 5 areas with the highest inflation at 4.9% over the past year.
