Trader Joe's Recalls Cashews Over Salmonella Concerns
-
Trader Joe's recalled specific lots of its 50% Less Sodium Roasted & Salted Whole Cashews due to potential salmonella contamination. The recalled cashews were sold in 16 states across the country.
-
The FDA found salmonella in one of the recalled production lots during routine testing. So far no illnesses have been reported from consuming the cashews.
-
Check your cashew packaging for lot numbers T12139 through T12142 and best by dates of Feb 21, 2025 through Mar 10, 2025 to see if your product is affected.
-
Consumers should dispose of any recalled cashews and can get a full refund by returning the product to Trader Joe's.

Salmonella can cause serious infections especially in vulnerable groups. Healthy infected people may have fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
