Georgia GOP Suspends State Senator For Pressuring Colleagues to Impeach DA Prosecuting Trump

Republican state senator Colton Moore was suspended by Georgia's GOP caucus for pressuring colleagues to investigate and potentially impeach DA prosecuting Trump.

Moore had pushed for a special session to defund or remove Fulton County DA Fani Willis, who is prosecuting Trump for election tampering.

Georgia GOP senators said Moore's proposal was impossible and his rhetoric caused unnecessary tension and hostility.

Two GOP senators said they received threats for not supporting Moore's plan.

Moore condemned his suspension, saying "Georgia RINOs responded to my call to fight back against the Trump witch hunts by acting like children."
