UAW Head Fain Blasts Executives, Says Strike Strategy Working but No Deal Yet With Automakers

UAW President Shawn Fain gave a fiery speech denouncing auto executives while wearing an "EAT THE RICH" t-shirt. He touted progress in talks but said there is no deal yet.

Fain doubled down on class warfare rhetoric, saying executives view workers as "dumb" and look down on them.

Fain said the strike strategy is working, intentionally avoiding the most profitable plants to keep "bazookas" in reserve.

Fain claimed a major win with GM agreeing to cover battery plant workers under the same contract as assembly workers.

It's unclear if Ford and Stellantis will follow suit on battery plants, which they previously called a non-starter to cover in current talks.
