Ubisoft Gains Activision Blizzard Cloud Streaming Rights in New 15-Year Deal with Microsoft

Ubisoft now controls cloud streaming rights for Activision Blizzard games outside of the EU for the next 15 years. This allows Ubisoft to license the games to services like Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Activision Blizzard games will be available on Ubisoft's subscription service Ubisoft Plus. It's unclear when they'll be added.

Microsoft made deals with several cloud gaming providers like Nvidia and Boosteroid to offer Activision Blizzard games in the EU.

Ubisoft is unlikely to exclusively offer Activision Blizzard games or block certain services, as this would cause backlash.

The deal came about because Ubisoft has experience in cloud gaming, so Microsoft saw them as a good fit to handle the rights.
