US West Coast port workers ratify contract agreement

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) announced that U.S. dockworkers have ratified a six-year contract, granting improved pay and benefits, including a 32% pay increase and a one-time bonus for working during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, for 22,000 employees at 29 ports along the West Coast.
