India-Based Pipe Manufacturer to Open First U.S. Facility in Louisiana, Adding Over 385 Jobs

An India-based pipe manufacturing company, Global Seamless Tubes and Pipes, plans to open its first U.S. production facility in Louisiana, bringing 135 direct and over 250 indirect jobs.

The $35 million facility will be located in DeSoto Parish in a former Hensley Industries facility.

Louisiana was chosen due to its status as a natural gas hub and key player in the international energy supply chain.

The facility will manufacture carbon, alloy and stainless-steel cold drawn and hot finish seamless tubes and pipes.

Operations are estimated to start by end of 2023, sparking economic growth and bringing quality jobs to the community.
