Valve Reportedly Rejects New Retro FPS Game Over 'Disgusting' Sexual Assault Scene

Valve has allegedly rejected new retro-style FPS game Fortune's Run from being listed on Steam due to a "disgusting" scene related to sexual assault.

Developer Team Fortune claims this is the 3rd rejection, with the first two related to issues accessing parts of the game during review.

The "disgusting" scene depicts an "emaciated, wrinkled alien creature bobbing up and down while licking the camera" during a first-person sexual assault.

Team Fortune intended this to depict sexual assault as "revolting", unlike games that depict it as "gratifying".

Team Fortune hopes Valve will still allow the game on Steam after removing the content warning, but launch may be delayed past Sept 27.
