Walmart Recalls Mislabeled Cashews Over Allergy Concerns in 30 States
-
An in-store brand of Walmart's 'honey roasted' cashews have been recalled in 30 US states due to undeclared coconut and milk, which can cause potentially fatal allergies.
-
The recall came after a customer complaint led to the discovery that some coconut cashew products were incorrectly labeled as honey roasted cashews.
-
The recalled 8.25 oz cans have a July 8, 2025 'use by' date and a UPC code of 078742133348 to identify them.
-
No adverse reactions have been reported so far, but coconut allergies can cause mild to moderate anaphylaxis which can be fatal.
-
Consumers can return the recalled cashews to any Walmart for a full refund or contact the supplier John B. Sanfilippo & Son for more information.
