Walmart Settles $45 Million Lawsuit Over Claims of Overcharging for Weighted Goods

Walmart is settling a $45 million lawsuit over claims it overcharged for weighted goods like meat and bagged citrus from Oct 2018 - Jan 2024.

Customers who bought weighted goods or bagged citrus at Walmart during that period can submit claims for settlements up to $500.

Those without receipts can claim $10-$25 depending on number of eligible items purchased.

File claims online or mail them by June 5, 2024 deadline to get settlement payment after final hearing on June 16.

Walmart denies wrongdoing but settled to avoid trial. Payments could be reduced if total claims exceed settlement amount.
