The Old World refers to the classic medieval fantasy setting used for Warhammer since the 1970s/1980s.

The Old World setting ended in the 2010 8th edition, being replaced by Age of Sigmar in 2015.

The Total War Warhammer video games have also used the Old World setting since 2016.

Key to the revival will be factions like the Bretonnians and other classic fantasy races like elves.
