Waymo Expanding Paid Robotaxi Services to Austin and Los Angeles

Waymo will launch a commercial robotaxi service in Austin by end of 2022, after testing driverless vehicles across 43 square miles of Austin neighborhoods
This week, Waymo will also begin offering a paid robotaxi service in Los Angeles, starting in a 63-square-mile area from Santa Monica to downtown
Waymo already operates paid driverless ride services in Phoenix, San Francisco, and soon Los Angeles as well
The California DMV and Public Utilities Commission regulate permitting and deployment of commercial robotaxi services in the state
