Sports Illustrated's publishing rights have moved from Arena Group Holdings to Minute Media after recent layoffs at SI
Minute Media owns several sports and culture outlets including The Player's Tribune, Mental Floss, FanSided, and 90Min
As part of the deal, Authentic Brands Group will acquire an equity stake in Minute Media
Minute Media intends to bring over much of the existing SI staff and uphold the brand's legacy
This comes after Arena Group failed to make a critical payment to ABG, triggering a clause allowing ABG to find a new publishing partner
