WhatsApp Developing Secret Code to Unlock Hidden Chats

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will let you find locked chats by typing a secret code in the search bar.

The secret code can be a word or emoji. Entering it will show all your locked chats.

This will also sync locked chats across devices, hiding them on WhatsApp Web/Desktop if locked on mobile.

The feature is still in development and not ready for beta testing yet.

No timeframe given for public rollout, but likely at least a couple months away.
