Wealthiest US Cities See Spiking Incomes, California Leads Pack

The "rich are getting richer" in places like Los Altos, California, where the average household income exceeds $400,000. 37 California cities made the top 100 list.

78 of the 100 wealthiest cities analyzed have an average household income at or above $200,000.

Bainbridge Island and Issaquah, Washington saw the largest percentage increases (48% and 43% respectively) in average household incomes from 2019-2022.

Parkland, Florida was at the bottom of the list, with almost half its population earning over $200,000 but little change over the 3 years.

A $100,000 salary in major US cities is worth about $70,700 after taxes and cost of living, making $200,000+ incomes more meaningful.
