Elderly Postal Worker Victim of Unprovoked Subway Attack at Penn Station

64-year-old postal worker Abu Khan was kicked onto subway tracks by a stranger at Penn Station for no apparent reason while looking at his phone.

Khan's wife said the incident was "unnecessary" and blasted the city's "scary" transit system, saying "it could have happened to anyone."

Khan suffered extensive injuries including back, chest, arm, knee and head pain and remains hospitalized.

The attacker was described as a 30-35 year old man with a dark beard, about 5'6" tall, wearing dark clothes and sunglasses.

No arrests have been made yet in the case. The attacker fled the scene.
