Billionaire Claims $1.765B Powerball Jackpot From Small California Store

The winner of the $1.765 billion Powerball jackpot was revealed as Theodorus Struyck, a 65-year-old billionaire living in Frazier Park, CA.

Struyck was part of a group that bought the winning ticket at Midway Market & Liquor, just 500 yards from his home.

It's unknown how many people were in the group or if they chose the lump sum or annuity prize.

Midway Market received $1 million for selling the winning ticket at their small family-owned store.

The $1.765 billion jackpot is the 2nd largest in Powerball history, falling just $28 million short of the record $2.04 billion prize in 2022.
