Chagrin Falls Students Win Local Stock Market Challenge, Quadrupling Investment to $4 Million

Four students from Chagrin Falls High School won the local Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge competition held at the Federal Reserve Bank.

The team named "Straight Cash Homie" quadrupled their mock $1 million investment to $4.1 million in the 60-minute competition.

Teacher John Bakalar said students had to quickly analyze news and financial reports to decide which stocks to invest in during the competition.

The team won a $500 prize and will advance to compete in the national competition in May.
