X Rolls Out Passkey Logins Globally for Enhanced iOS Security
-
X (formerly Twitter) has rolled out passkey login globally for iOS users. Passkeys use biometrics instead of passwords for more secure login.
-
Passkeys were previously only available in the US to some iOS users. Now any iOS user globally can enable passkeys.
-
Enabling passkeys involves going to Settings > Security > Passkeys in the X app and toggling on the feature.
-
X stated passkeys make accounts "less susceptible to phishing attacks and unauthorized access."
-
More details on enabling passkeys in the X app are available on X's website.
