Yia Vang's Vinai to Replace Dangerous Man Taproom in Northeast Minneapolis
-
Yia Vang's long-awaited restaurant Vinai will replace Dangerous Man Brewing's taproom in northeast Minneapolis. The building was purchased by Vang's investors.
-
Dangerous Man co-founders Sarah Bonvallet and Rob Miller decided not to renew their lease after 10 years. They want to focus on their farm and production facility outside the Twin Cities.
-
Vang has dreamed of opening Vinai for years but faced financial setbacks until out-of-state investors stepped in to back the project. He aims to showcase Hmong American cuisine.
-
Vinai will join other acclaimed restaurants like Young Joni and Oro on the same block in the Sheridan neighborhood. The new restaurant is slated to open in spring 2024.
-
Both Vang and Bonvallet are excited about the "serendipitous changing of hands." Vang plans to maintain the community feel of the space and keep Dangerous Man beer on tap.
