Democratic Congressman Carjacked at Gunpoint in D.C., Second Attack on Lawmaker This Year

Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar was carjacked at gunpoint in Washington, D.C. on Monday night.

Three to four armed men held guns to Cuellar's head and stole his car and phone. Cuellar was not harmed.

The carjacking happened in the Navy Yard area, about a mile from the U.S. Capitol building.

This is the second attack on a member of Congress in D.C. this year. Rep. Angie Craig was assaulted in her apartment building in February.

D.C. police say there have been 750 carjackings in D.C. so far this year, most involving firearms.
