CMOC Group to Boost Copper Output in Congo, Become Top 10 Global Producer
- China's CMOC Group to raise copper output at its mines in Congo to 600,000 metric tons in 2023
- CMOC aims to produce 450,000 tons at Tenke Fungurume mine and 150,000 tons at KFM mine next year
- The increased output would make CMOC a top 10 global copper producer, surpassing Glencore
- CMOC recently settled a dispute with Congo's state miner Gecamines that had blocked exports
- Shipments of stockpiled copper, totaling 240,000 tons, are expected to complete by end of September
