Dead Space co-creator Glen Schofield leaves Striking Distance Studios after The Callisto Protocol disappoints

Glen Schofield, co-creator of Dead Space, is leaving Striking Distance Studios after the failure of The Callisto Protocol.

Schofield founded Striking Distance in 2019 under publisher Krafton to make a PUBG-linked narrative game.

The Callisto Protocol sold only 2 million copies, far below Krafton's 5 million target.

Striking Distance laid off 32 employees in August amid realigning priorities.

Schofield described his departure as "bittersweet" but said the studio is in good hands.
