How to delete an outpost in Starfield

To delete an outpost in Starfield, go to its beacon and hold the "rename" button to get a "remove outpost" option.
Deleting an outpost frees up one of your limited outpost slots to build a new one elsewhere.
You won't get back any materials from deleting an existing outpost.
The Planetary Habitation skill increases your max outposts; each level gives more slots.
Planetary Habitation is deep in the Science skill tree, for serious outpost builders.
