Google Chrome is getting a fresh look for its 15th birthday

Google Chrome is getting a redesign for its 15th birthday, adopting the new Material You design language. This will bring refreshed icons, improved legibility, and new color themes.
The redesign aims to make Chrome easier to use, with a more comprehensive menu, integrated OS dark/light modes, and minor layout tweaks like rounded corners.
Chrome last got a major redesign back in 2018 with the Material Design refresh. The new Material You update is already visible in the Chrome Web Store.
In addition to visual changes, Chrome is also getting new AI-powered extensions, an editor's spotlight, and more personalized recommendations in the Web Store.
Security is being upgraded too, with the Safe Browsing feature now updated in real-time to protect against phishing sites that only exist briefly.
