Porsche Unveils Limited-Edition 911 GT3 R Rennsport Track Beast
-
Porsche debuted its new 911 GT3 R Rennsport track car at Rennsport Reunion 7 event.
-
The GT3 R Rennsport is a track-only, naturally aspirated 911 with 611 hp and a 9,400 rpm redline.
-
The carbon fiber body is wider, longer and lower than the GT3 R race car, with aggressive aero including a rear wing reminiscent of the 935/77.
-
It shares some parts with the GT3 R race car but tosses out FIA restrictions, giving it 145 hp per liter.
-
Only 77 will be built, likely destined for collectors rather than track use, but Jörg Bergmeister drove it at the debut at Laguna Seca.
